Focus Ireland

CASE STUDY 1:

Focus Ireland, Human Services, To raise €30 million to support services for homeless individuals and families and to develop the philanthropy and partnerships department to increase income from partnerships and philanthropy by 50% over five years

Focus Ireland is the leading non-profit organisation in Ireland working to end homelessness. They provide a wide range of services, including emergency accommodation, support for families, and housing for individuals and families. Despite the vital work they do, the organisation was facing a funding crisis, with a growing demand for services and limited resources to meet that demand.

Cōnsilium was brought on to lead a capacity-building campaign for the organisation’s philanthropy and partnerships department. The goal was to increase income from partnerships and philanthropy from €20 million over five years to €30 million over five years, a 50% increase.

Working closely with Aisling Nolan, the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, Cōnsilium helped to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy and a team of major gift officers. Within the first year of the campaign, Focus Ireland had already raised €18 million, with €14.5 million received in cash. The campaign exceeded its goal, and the organisation was able to expand its services and support more individuals and families.

Cōnsilium team was a pleasure to work with; their expertise and dedication helped us to achieve our ambitious fundraising goals and transformed our philanthropy and partnerships department into a major fundraising force. Thanks to their guidance and support, we were able to expand our services and support more individuals and families in need.
